Ben Rosen inexplicably had the same guy eating random food based on Redditors' requests, recorded him eating it, and then posted it in the thread. He started with a video of the man, named Eric, eating a jar of plain mayonnaise, and said that he'd respond to any food request "with the appropriate video."
SEE ALSO: How to watch the historic Thanos-inspired Reddit banIt's bizarre.
Eric, who Rosen says is a special ed teacher and an "all around nice guy," is a trooper. He fulfilled nearly every request, from maintaining eye contact with the camera while eating a banana to eating an actual garbage bag.
Rosen and Eric kept it rolling, fulfilling request after request.
Sometimes, the requests were mundane. Oreos? Got it.
Habanero peppers? They're a bit difficult to eat with a straight face, but sure.
One Redditor requested straight up salt, and Eric delivered.
Eric even made it through a mouthful of dog food.
When a Redditor requested spam, Rosen came through with uncooked, fresh out of the can spam.
Asking for Eric to consume Tide Pods was a step too far, though.
Sure, Eric will eat a raw hot dog on camera but let the man have some dignity!

When confronted with a large plastic garbage bag, Eric made a valiant effort to take a bite. After a good eight seconds of struggling, he gave up with a defeated shrug.
Rosen never provided an explanation for his stunt. Was it a social experiment? Was it a dadaist art, nodding to Zürich's avant-garde performers of the early 1900s? Was it a Banksy-like statement about the state of society?
Whatever this absurd, hilarious shitpost was, it at least made us laugh.
