The Watch Mom's Guide to Sex 12 OnlineOscar race is officially underway.

Early this morning, Tiffany Haddish and Andy Serkis announced the nominees for the 90th annual Academy Awards.

The Shape of Waterled the pack with 13 nominations, while Dunkirkscored eight and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missourigot seven.

One of this year's most exciting races looks to the Best Director category, which includes Greta Gerwig for Lady Birdand Jordan Peele for Get Out. Both made their solo directorial debuts last year, and both represent a welcome change of pace for a category that's been mostly white and male in the past. Peele and Gerwig will also be competing against each other in the Best Original Screenplay field.
