"You may be wondering why I have sent you a friend request. I had to because we share the same name. Middle name as well. Good day sir," Australian Mitchell wrote.

Eventually the pair started exchanging banter publicly on Facebook, where their friends started to get involved. Then someone came up with a wild idea: Why not get both Mitchells to hang out IRL?
So they all pitched in for a flight from Melbourne to Hobart, all within four hours of the first message, according to the Daily Mail.
Things could've been awkward, but they ended up quickly becoming great mates.
"We weren't sure what to think of each other. It wasn't until 20-odd minutes after we picked Sam up we realised we were going to get along just fine... made the next few days a bit more fun," Australian Mitchell told the news outlet.
The pair spent their new year's drinking plenty of beers, competing in a "Sam Mitchell Olympics" where they pitted against each other in beer pong and bucket racing, a variation on the sack race. They even shared a kiss under the fireworks.
This folks, is what real bromance looks like.
