The group's svengali, the father of the smallest kid and penner of that dire ditty, "Freedom's Call," Jeff Popick, has said he's suing Trump.
The litigation, which the Republican nominee can add to his 5,500 lawsuits, comes because Popick says Trump violated several agreements with the group.
Popick says that various spoken agreements from agents of the Trump campaign were broken, according to the Washington Post.
The group was promised a table to sell its merchandise at an event in lieu of the $2,500 payment they'd requested, for example, but no table materialized, according to Popick. Then there was the time they were invited to perform at an event in Iowa, but after traveling all the way there at great expense, they were told the plan had changed - and they weren't to speak to the media either.
"This is not a billion-dollar lawsuit," Popick said. "I'm doing this because I think they have to do the right thing. And if this means having to go through the court system to enforce them doing the right thing, then that's what I have to do. I'm not looking to do battle with the Trump campaign, but I have to show my girls that this is the right thing."
Popick is demanding either a performance slot or monetary compensation, and expects to file the lawsuit within a few weeks. The band's album is due out in September, but the Trump-pushing "Freedom's Call" will not be on it.
