Netflix has quite the nostalgic New Year's resolution for 2017.

The korean adult movie | Adult Movies Onlinelovable streaming service has decided to throw things back to its humble beginnings by showing its loyal DVD subscribers some love.

The company has created a new app -- DVD Netflix -- for the millions of old timers who still utilize the antiquated DVD-by-mail service, which was launched before the discovery of streaming in 1998. Remember 1998? It brought us hits like Windows 98, the original iMac and the A-Teens.

In 1998, you really would have loved an entire app that allowed you to queue up your DVDs to watch. In 2017, that dream is a reality thanks to Netflix.

Now I know what you're thinking: Who the heck still orders DVDs from Netflix?! Well according to statisticsfrom 2016, a shocking four million people, that's who.

The numbers are high but let's be real here -- the DVD service was launched almost TWO DECADES AGO so while Netflix is busy throwing the world off its high-tech axis the rest of us are just trying to find the fastest way to watch TV.

Sure, Netflix's extended library has over 93,000 movies and TV shows available for home delivery, but who has the patience to wait for movies to arrive by mail when a perfectly decent selection is already available for instantaneous binge-watching? In 2017, the idea of using technology to have relics of the 90s delivered to your door simply makes no sense.

The ability to manage DVD services actually existed on the original Netflix app but was removed in 2011, because, well... streaming. This was a good call, but just when we thought Netflix had moved on, it hits us with this. Ugh.

The company also recently announced that offline video downloads will be available for select shows... but we want everythingavailable for download. Give the people what they want now, Netflix, not what they wanted 20 years ago.
