Here's the latest from bored holiday Twitter: A tweet about the "best seat" on France Archivesthe New York City subway (if such a seat exists) now has people debating the best place to sit in all sorts of settings.

On Tuesday, @gplatinum tweeted a photo of a D train, which has configurations of three aisle-facing seats for every two front-facing seats, and asked his followers to reply with which one they thought was the best.

Answers varied. Some people chose seat No. 1 because of its proximity to the door, while others went with 5 for the possible extra space. (Counterpoint, though: You might have to get up to let No. 4 out.)

No. 4 was a controversial but pretty common choice. While it might seem like you're signing up to get squished, it can be peaceful if you have a long commute; plus, it's great for gazing poignantly out the window.

No. 3 would probably be fine, but no one really went to bat for it. No one chose 2 because the middle seat sucks.

Most importantly, the tweet caused a slew of other, mostly tongue-in-cheek "which is the best seat" tweets.

Our personal favorite is Mike Bloomberg's open office plan — speaking of, do we think he's ridden the subway recently enough to have a favorite seat?
