Let's just cut to the chase here. It's scientifically proven that the best thing in sports is Comedy Archiveswhen someone gets dunked on so hard their own teammates react.

Lucky us! This has happened twice in the past two days. Now for the savage, nitty-gritty and wholly disrespectful details.

First up: On Tuesday night in college basketball, Wright State's Steven Davis did, well, he did thisto Urbana’s Dalton Payton.

WELKRJAWELJRWALEKJRWSADFASFDSEFWEFVSDZFSDFSDFSDD.

Sorry, lost ourselves there for a moment. There are so many things about this dunk -- the utter disrespect, the Cable Guy-like boost Davis appears to get after colliding with Payton -- but we wish to call your attention to one subtle detail.

Check out the guy on the far right of the Urbana bench. That's Dalton's own teammate! And he's so moved by the dunk that he gets up and runs out of the frame!

As the snake people say: 😭 😭 😭

Now on to the second part of our doubleheader, which came by way of Larry Nance Jr. of the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night.

Here's Nance going absolutely airborne to drop the hammer on Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez.

Again, so many good things about this dunk, including but not limited to the dunk itself, Nance's reaction and the announcer's call of "LOOK AT LARRY NANCE!!"

But, also again, we wish to call your attention to the bench. Those are Lopez's teammates cringing in unison after he gets obliterated. Is that compassion, or is that schadenfreude? Perhaps it's both in equal measure.

But still: If you're a basketball player who's just been brutally dunked on and emasculated, the last thing you need is your own teammates, your own comrades, your own band of brothers, adding further insult to injury by cringing in unison or getting up off the bench and running around like an extra from an And1 Mixtape.

It sure makes for good viewing, though.

As for Lopez and Payton, we imagine they feel somewhat like one Jeffrey Lebowski at the bowling alley bar.

In conclusion, if you happen to run into Brook Lopez or Dalton Payton around town, buy them a White Russian. With friends like theirs, they could sure use a drink.
