What’s more, it will hand over your package for free if it fails to deliver on its promise. The startup aims to break the societal barriers people face in India while buying contraceptives.

SMS Contraceptive offers a range of contraceptive and other sex products including lubricants and instant pregnancy test. For orders and queries, it uses SMS, WhatsApp, Snapchat, as well as a direct phone line.
SMS Contraceptive currently operates only in Gurugram, a suburb of Delhi, but has plans to expand to other areas in the National Capital Region, which is made up of suburbs from neighboring states of Harayana and Uttar Pradesh that share borders with Delhi.
Though several shopping portals offer contraceptive products, no big player in India promises home delivery within an hour. Moreover, during waning hours of the night, pretty much every option is off the table.
Whether SMS Contraceptive will succeed in materializing its nation-wide expansion plans, or even stay in business, remains to be seen. But the traction it has been getting underscores a market in India, that many could make use of.
