So, it is with deep regret that we must inform you that the rumored Taco Bell menu changes are real, representing yet another small blow in a cavalcade of bad news.
Rumors started floating this week on Reddit, Twitter, and elsewhere that Taco Bell was planning a major shift. Rumored cuts included all potato items, the Quesarito, Loaded Grillers, and 7-layer burrito.

It is with great sadness that we can confirm, via a Taco Bell spokesperson, that the changes are real and will take effect nationwide on August 13.
Here are the menu items that are soon to cut:

There are some glimmers of good news from Taco Bell, however. You can still get the Quesarito via the web or on the app. The chain is also planning to introduce some new deals.
"Taco Bell is in fact simplifying its menu to streamline operations and make ordering faster, safer and easier than ever for customers and team members, especially while the pandemic has shifted priorities to the drive-thru and digital," a spokesperson wrote in an email. "While some fan favorites like the 7-Layer Burrito, Potato Bites, and Loaded Grillers may be retiring from menus, we’re excited to permanently introduce the $1 Beef Burrito to the Cravings Value Menu and the return of the $5 Grande Nachos Box for a limited time."
Here's a look at the new menu. Please note: not a potato to be found.

Still folks are likely to be pretty upset. The past few days have been an uproar of anger, sadness, etc at the new menu.
