Cher is Dear Utol (2025): Chick! Episode 47set to star in Lifetime's original movie Flint, which will tell the ongoing tale of water contamination poisoning residents of a Michigan city, A&E Networks confirmed to Mashable.
On Thursday, Deadline reported that the award-winning actress will also be executive producing the TV movie along with Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, and Katie Couric, with a script by Barbara Stepansky.
SEE ALSO: The poisoning of Flint, MichiganThe film -- which will be based on a February 2016 Timecover story, "The Toxic Tap" -- is set to be directed by Oscar-nominated Bruce Beresford.
Cher has voiced her concern for the water crisis and residents of Flint on social media in the past, and back in January 2016, the singer donated thousands of water bottles to aid in the crisis.

The TV movie is expected start production this spring.
