According to Washington defensive back Josh Norman,Emmanuelle – The Sex Lives Of Ghosts (2004) the Green Bay Packers have a wizard on their team.

Norman spoke to the media on Wednesday in preparation for the Redskins-Packers matchup this weekend. When asked about Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Norman likened him to a certain Lord of the Ringscharacter.

"That’s No. 12, that’s pretty much Gandalf the White over there," Norman said. "That’s a wizard. That’s who he is to me.”

“Tom Brady is is Gandalf the Grey, he’s just an upper class of that," Norman said. "For me, that’s the best of the best. I think a wizard pretty much describes everything you need to know about a type of quarterback, and they are the two that fit that."

For those who aren't familiar with the Lord of the Rings trilogy, here's a profile on Gandalf, courtesy of NFL.com's Kevin Patra.

"In the first Lord of the Ringsbook, The Fellowship of the Ring, Gandalf the Grey plunged into the depths of the Mines of Moria while battling an evil foe," Patra writes. "After a 10-day battle, a victorious Gandalf 'strayed out of thought and time' until he was revived with even greater powers. Thus he returned as Gandalf the White, a more potent wizard."

So, Gandalf the White is a new incarnation of Gandalf the Grey.

Does that mean Rodgers is a new-and-improved Tom Brady? Well, both quarterbacks have won two NFL MVP awards. They each own a Super Bowl title and Super Bowl MVP honors, though Brady has four championship rings and three Super Bowl MVP trophies. Rodgers only has one of each. But at age 32, he's got some time left.
