The Cat 3 | Adult Movies OnlineNegev, the biggest and dumbest gun in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, just went from the most expensive weapon in the game to one of the cheapest (outside of pistols). And it's totally messing with the game.
The Negev slows you down the most when you're firing, and has an absurd recoil. But it delivers fatal headshots and can take enemies down with just three to four shots to the body. Now that it's cheaper than an AK-47 (which does comparable damage and has a much smaller magazine), it's one of the most viable weapon choices in the game.

While that spray-and-pray method can keep enemies from running through tight corridors and possibly land a lucky kill through a smoke screen, there actually is a way to get accurate shots with the Negev. Check out this example:
I love the new meta
If you fire the Negev for about one second, the recoil will even out and you can line up shots as easily as other weapons. This means that if you start firing for a second and then step out from cover, you can shoot about 13 accurate and deadly bullets per second, which can have devastating results.

Here's a closer look at how the Negev's recoil works:
Valve temporarily dropped its price from the in-game cost of $5,700 to $2,000 to test its viability in competitive matchmaking. Mohamad "Moe" Assad, a former pro player turned team manager, does not see the Negev as a viable option in competitive matches even with its drastically reduced price, namely because of the necessary prefire before you get any accuracy.

While that may be true for high-level competitive play, where someone would hear the Negev's prefire and not walk right into its spray, the Negev has certainly taken over casual and lower-level competitive matchmaking.
Hopefully Valve brings the price up a little bit soon because this Negev-filled hellscape we're all living in is not okay.
