The three-page letter is from a Muslim family living in Kingston-upon-Thames, originally from Turkey. It explains why they believe terrorism "has no religion".

"It is an extremely destructive and pervert ideology kidnapping words and phrases from religious and other dictionaries. Terrorism is an extremely harmful species cultivated in poisonous climates of ignorance, poverty and conflict," the letter says, before outlining what can be done to help prevent future acts of violence.

It ends with prayers and thoughts for the victims of the attack at London Bridge.

Other people reported a Muslim woman was also handing out roses on the bridge:

Back in December, a group of Muslim women took action against Islamophobia after a stabbing in Forest Hill, south-east London, where the attacker reportedly shouted "I want to kill Muslims."

The women gathered at Forest Hill station and handed out roses to passerby.
